A Kingdom Built on Fun, Since 1975
Long before amusement and theme parks became part of India’s leisure landscape, VGP dared to imagine something extraordinary. In 1975, our late founder Shri V G Paneerdas envisioned a new way for families to relax, play, and celebrate together, an idea that was then seen only overseas.
That vision came to life as VGP Golden Beach, quickly becoming a beloved destination across South India. What began as a family outing spot soon evolved into something much bigger. Drawing inspiration and expertise from world-class theme parks across the USA, Italy, Japan, and beyond, VGP transformed into a full-scale theme park experience.
In 1997, the park was rechristened VGP Universal Kingdom and over four decades later, the Kingdom continues to reign as one of India’s largest and most iconic theme parks.
